Project Description:
Altunizade Theology Faculty Mosque was designed as an interpretation of our architectural tradition in today's language. The project, inspired by the rotational movement that takes place in the entire universe from macro scale to micro scale, seeks a new horizon in mosque architecture. The dome, which has a height of 35 meters, is inspired by the Turkish triangles widely used in Seljuk and Turkish architecture.
The project, which continues the central spatial setup and the idea of unity in space, which is the basis of traditional mosque architecture, is an interpretation of our classical building heritage with every element. The wooden panels used in the interior of the dome, taking into account the effect of light and shadow on the space, were manufactured by our company with natural maple wood veneer on plywood and were assembled on site and delivered on time.
